Julia Hacker holds a Masters in Fashion Design from the University of Fine Art, Belarus. Julia has honed her technique after working extensively with Masters at the Art Gallery of Ontario and Academy of Realistic Art (Toronto). She is an expert in a wide range of media including oil, egg tempera, acrylics, and collage. Her work is very versatile from impressionist landscape and still-life to realistically portrait. The common thread throughout her work demonstrates both whimsical flourish as well as deep symbolism. Julia works closely with patrons producing work to suit their very distinct needs. Her landscapes and portraits have been shown in numerous exhibitions and are held in private collections in Canada, Russia and Europe.
My purpose is to engage the viewer, to draw out a sense of wonder through the colours and textures of my work. Every painting has a story, a fantasy world where the viewer can participate both emotionally and intellectually; to ask questions of themselves and be on the path of discovery.
